Monika enjoys view after completing second crossing coast to coast USA - Virginia Beach              

Ernie, Charlotte and Cindy - Friends on the road Lake Tahoe Ernie, charlotte and hubby provided us withaccommodation for two days during our stay in Lake Tahoe California. We first met the wife during our travels in Baja California. They were most certainly preoccupied with the birth of their new baby charlotte so we kept our stay to a minimum. Lovely couple who made our stay in Tahoe an occasion to remember.
 
Helga Pederson - BMW Event Lake Tahoe Picture shows Helga Pederson on stage at BMW Motorrad event in Lake Tahoe California. Helga here is preparing the would be over-lander with Navigation and camping skills. Thousands of BMW riders turned up to this scenic venue to sample many of the attractions including Jimmy Lewis the Paris Dakar rider teaching Off Road riding Techniques. The evening entertainment included a banquet in a large marquee with guest speakers and a traditional German music group it was as you expect a fantastic weekend.
 
   Relaxing Mood The picture sums up our relaxing mood after many miles travelling on the USA interstates. A fantastic for the BMW Motorrad event. Unfortunately because of the event we did not do much site seeing but we did manage to circumnavigate Lake Tahoe which was possibly one most the enjoyable riding experiences in America.
 
 

Sky line San Francisco We departed Lake Tahoe and headed for California were we where to be the guests of Mr David Parkinson a avid Beemer rider and future Paris Dakar rider. David gave us a short tour of San Francisco which included this magnificent evening view of the San Francisco Sky  Line.

Destination Charleston Virginia for the summer BMW Club event.

 

Erin, Monika and Benka - BMW Club meet Charleston Virginia. Beemer Chicks Erin, Monika and Benka. Erin and her hubby had just returned from an epic four year around the world adventure. Benka recently broken 3 world records and she too had just completed a around the world trip all on BMW 650 motorcycles. Congratulations to all of them.
 

Steve Coburn BMW CLUB Ambassador and a Gentleman to boot. The Perfect Host  One of the bests thing about overlanding are the people you meet and our experiences with Steve Coburn was no different. We met Steve at the BMW Clubs summer event in Charleston Virginia and he certainly went out of his way to ensure we had a good time and this extended for the whole event and even escorted us to the blue ridge parkway one of the premier motorcycle rides in the USA. Steve ensured that we were looked after which was really appreciated and a true reflection of all the BMW Club Ambassadors that we met during the Club event.
