our departure in May 2002

riding the same two BMW GS motorbikes we have circumnavigated the earth
one and a half times by the greatest landmass covering a distance of
over 123000 Miles. Rode across 54 Countries, visited every
landlocked state
of USA and province of Canada and crossed
North America
coast to coast five times and rode above the arctic
circle on 3 separate occasions. |

Possibly the most humbling experience of our Record Challenge, we salute you. Last support "Speed Ferries" which sails from England to France in less than 50 minutes. Not only is their service fast, convenient and comfortable it is also the cheapest channel crossing from the UK to France. |

John sadly passed away doing what he loved best as a participant in the
Syrian Motorbike Rally. John was a great inspiration for our

Situated only 500 meters from Turkeys number one tourist attraction the
Blue Mosque. The BLUE HOUSE not only provides the best panoramic views
of Istanbul and the mosque it also boasts one of the world's greatest
hotel room. |
Picture features our special friend Chizuko from Tokyo Japan. We met Chizuko in Beijing China and again in Tokyo Japan were Chizuko hosted Monika and I for three weeks. It was with great delight that we could meet with Chizuko and her friend Tommy in the Beskydy Mountains of Czech Republic and reacquaint ourselves with great memories and stories of our time together in China and Japan. Pictures was taken in a forest Pension in Roznov Pod Radhostem. |

We have been asked many times what is our favorite picture from our Guinness World Record Challenge ? This pictures features Simon arriving at the coast town of "Cape Spear" Canada which is the the furthest point East in North America. Our arrival on the beach represented a complete overland circumnavigation of the Earth "West to East" by the widest landmass. It took Simon and Monika 18 Months to complete the full circumnavigation of the World. |
