Imagine months after passing your motorcycle test & with no mechanical experience or support vehicles over landing around the world from east to west as a "Team " by the greatest landmass and then exceeding 189000 Kilometers with non stop riding which means we never ever stopped and took employment for a few months, and we stayed together throughout as per the "official rules" because Continuous journey and team means exactly Continuous and Team and then successfully Smashing the Guinness Endurance World Record! |
When someone tells you to keep going
that "Encouraging" When you tell yourself "Do not stop" that's powerful
and when God says' "PERSIST UNTIL YOU SUCCEED" then victory is assured! World Record Success for Monika and Simon. Aim to exceed a greater distance than 99600 Kilometres in one continuous journey. Officially achieved Oct 2005 when we surpassed 183.000 Kilometres. In 2001 we categorically stated "Nothing in the world, would or could stop us bringing the world record home to Great Britain" and 4 years later, true to our word we delivered" Who ever said dreams never come true "Experience the Spirit & Dream of BMW Motorrad!" |

Riding long distances as a couple is an amazing
and sensational experience
and
certainly not difficult if your journey if full of
breaks, & you take different jobs along the way or even have time apart
as a team to recover and rest! On world records you cant fly home i.e.
to your place of departure to rest & then fly back, besides flying back
to your start means its the "End" and this is OBVIOUSLY why Endurance World
Records are extremely difficult to brake because you have to "Endure",
there is no rest, jobs or flights home! This is the difference between a "Successful Endurance World Record Challenge which is
achieved through Sacrifice! Resolve! Determination! and Endeavour!
and
adventure holidays! so never be afraid to start your dream because with
jobs here and there you can go on and on. Enjoying your lifetime
dream and experiencing the worlds rich diversity of culture it will for
sure, and be in no doubt, change your life for ever! |

John sadly passed away doing what he loved best as a participant in the Syrian Motorbike Rally. John was a great inspiration for our world record quest. Johns last words to us just days before he died was "What ever you - Do not quit, Do not Fail" - We salute you" Last hotel support is the world famous BLUE HOUSE HOTEL - ISTANBUL. Situated only 500 meters from Turkeys number one tourist attraction the Blue Mosque. The BLUE HOUSE not only provides the best panoramic views of Istanbul and the mosque it also boasts one of the world's greatest hotel room. The Blue House we rate as one of the top 3 hotels in the world. We enjoyed our stay that much. |

We have been asked many times what is our favorite picture from our Guinness World Record Challenge ? This pictures features Simon arriving at the coast town of "Cape Spear" Canada which is the the furthest point East in North America. Our arrival on the beach represented a complete overland circumnavigation of the Earth "West to East" by the widest landmass. It took Simon and Monika 18 Months to complete the full circumnavigation of the World. |
