Imagine months after passing your motorcycle test & with no mechanical experience or support vehicles over landing around the world from east to west as a "Team " by the greatest landmass and then exceeding 189000 Kilometers with non stop riding which means we never ever stopped and took employment for a few months, and we stayed together throughout as per the "official rules" because Continuous journey and team means exactly Continuous and Team and then just as we said we would do we successfully Smashed the Endurance Guinness Endurance World Record. Thank you to the "World of BMW & the Touratech GB. When we came to you with our Idea, planning and 18 months research to travel on two BMW motorbikes from the UK to New York by the Greatest landmass "The Widest Way Round". You saw the big picture, you loved our creative ideas & you loved our web site too and from that day on we haven't looked back ! Team worked personified. |
When someone
tells you to keep going that "Encouraging" When you tell yourself "Do
not stop" that's powerful and when God says' "PERSIST UNTIL YOU SUCCEED"
then victory is assured! World Record Success for Monika and Simon. Aim to exceed a greater distance than 99600 Kilometers in one continuous journey. Officially achieved Oct 2005 when we surpassed 183.000 Kilometers. In 2001 we categorically stated "Nothing in the world, would or could stop us bringing the world record home to Great Britain" and 4 years later, true to our word we delivered" Who ever said dreams don't come true "Experience the Spirit & Dream of BMW Motorrad!" It will change your life for ever! You just cant beat being a BMW Winner, It is simply life changing, & everyday now when we ride our record breaking bikes, we get to appreciate the value of trust, being part of a team, the sincerity of someone's word & just how far they will go to keep it! |

Route since our departure in May 2002 & riding the same two BMW GS motorbikes we have circumnavigated the earth one and a half times by the greatest landmass covering a distance of over 123000 Miles. Rode across 54 Countries, visited every landlocked state of USA and province of Canada and crossed North America coast to coast five times and rode above the arctic circle on 3 separate occasions. |

We had the honor to be a part of 26 Engineers homecoming after coalition operations abroad. Possibly - if not certainly, the most humbling experience of our Guinness World Record Challenge. We have been asked many times what is our favorite picture from our Guinness World Record Challenge ? This pictures features Simon arriving at the coast town of "Cape Spear" Canada which is the the furthest point East in North America which represented a complete circumnavigation of planet earth by the greatest landmass. Our arrival on the beach represented a complete overland circumnavigation of the Earth "West to East" by the widest landmass. It took Simon and Monika 18 Months to complete the full circumnavigation of the World. |
